SPORTS DAY
🗓️ Thursday 29th June
📍 School field
🏃🏻♀️ For children in Reception and Years 1–4
🕰️ 9.15am start – the gates will be locked at 9.10am.
⏱️ We aim to finish by 11.30am at the latest.
☔️ Should the weather be unsuitable, our backup date is Thursday 6th July. If we have to postpone then we will announce it on Class Dojo.
✋ There will be ‘respect lines’ indicating the spectator zone for parents. You must not cross this line and encroach into the arena.
👟 All children must wear PE kit including a plain white ⚪️ t-shirt.
🔴🔵🟢🟡 All children will be given a sticker matching their House team colour. All siblings will be together in the same group.
🧢 Please make sure your child has a hat if it is a hot/sunny day.
🧴 Please apply sun lotion before school if it is a hot/sunny day.
🥤 Please make sure your child has a named water bottle in school. This will move around the activity stations with them.
❎ Sorry, but there will be no parent races at our Sports Day.
📷 You may take photos at this event – but they can only be for your personal use – as images of other children cannot be uploaded to social media.
👋 There will be an opportunity for you to congratulate your child at the end of Sports Day before you leave the school site.
🥇🥈🥉
Assembly on Monday will be about winning and losing. This has also been covered throughout the year.
All children should try their very best to win – and if they do win they should be gracious winners.
We also encourage children who do not win to congratulate other children for their effort and achievement.
⚽️🎾🏃🏻♀️
-There will be 8 activity stations – including 2 rest stops.
-Each station will be numbered
-You will be informed prior to the event which station your child will start at so you know where to stand at the beginning.
-After each activity you will be able to move around the edge of the arena so you can see and support your child.
-Once all the activities have finished, children will leave the arena and sit in their House teams on the opposite side of the running track.
-Children will then take part in running races.
👍🏻Thank you for supporting your child and being a respectful spectator at our Sports Day – which I hope will be a fantastic event!
