Our catering kitchen staff work hard to provide high quality 2 course meals for our pupils using fresh healthy ingredients. There is a wide variety for your child to choose from, including a vegetarian main course, a selection of vegetables and a daily salad bar.
Hot school meals for all Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children are Government funded and are therefore free to pupils in these year groups.
Hot school meals for children in Preschool, Year 3 and Year 4 can be bought on a daily, weekly or termly basis. A meal costs £2.53 at present and can be paid for by online banking (please ask for details).
Alternatively, you may wish to provide a packed lunch for your child and you can read our packed lunch policy guidance below.
Families in receipt of income support, job seekers allowance or child tax credit may be eligible for free school meals regardless of their child’s year group. If you think you might be eligible please contact the office manager who will deal with your enquiry, or email office@thomasjohnsonschool.co.uk
