The Governing Body is made up of a group of parents, staff and members of the local community who work together to ensure that our children receive the best possible education.
Their role is defined by statutory obligations and the Governors meet each term to agree the aims and ethos of the school, to work with the Headteacher and determine strategy, to review and agree policies and to ensure the annual budget remains secure. Governors support high quality education by being involved in setting academic targets and monitoring pupils’ progress. To do this they may visit the school to see learning in action, and to talk with staff and pupils about their lessons.
